February 26th, 2010 – Captain America, an Awesome Pigeon, and Andy Lacerte

Andy Lacerte – Christopher Walken Submission

Online there is a contest right now for Christopher Walken impressions. If any of you have met my friends Andy Lacerte, you have most likely seen his Walken. Walken is currently on Broadway and they are accepting impressions of his first few lines of the show. Whoever they decide is the best gets free tickets to see the show on Broadway. So watch the video, vote, comment and push him to the top!

Pigeon on the Subway

I saw this on G4’s Attack of the Show. It is awesome! One of the hosts commented that he needs a paper, I would include a Starbucks to go and then you have the whole package. Confused about what I am saying? Click on this and find out!

Mastermind: World Conqueror

If you haven’t played this game, you’re missing out. It’s been played over 1.5 million times now so you can join the crowd. It combines strategy, shooting, with just plain old hilarious one liners. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think.

Road to Oscars

As many know, next week is Oscar night on Sunday. Check this link out at imdb.com and feel free to explore. One thing I love is that with every year, the prediction polls are getting more interactive. When my family and I started our annual Fowler Oscar Prediction game, I had to type all of the predictions on our computer because things weren’t quite as cool on the internet as they are now. Here, in 2010, you can download a PDF that allows you to check, save, and print your ballot to compete for bragging rights!

Captain America

I have loved the Avengers movies that they have been making the last few years. Iron Man was awesome, the Incredible Hulk was a clearly better movie, and Thor is looking promising. Marvel is willing to take some bold chances on actors and directors and it is paying off in my opinion. Having Kenneth Branagh, aka Mr. Shakespeare, direct Thor instead of handing it to Brett Ratner or someone equally mediocre would have been disappointing. Now they are announcing the candidates for Captain America, the last installment of individual movies to be shot before they bring Edward Norton, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, and Chris Helmsworth (Thor) and whoever is getting the role of Captain America together to form the Avengers. There is even a rumor of Jeremy Renner getting involved as Hawkeye. The coolest candidate would be an unconventional choice, but would get Jim out of the Office, and throwing a shield while wearing the American Flag. Check it out!
